Community & Advocacy

1
International Mission Work
Dr. Greene is currently an executive board member of HerRelief Jamaica, a united group of female medical professionals of Jamaican descent, formed in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. The group is dedicated to providing critical medical aid and long-term support to communities in need across Jamaica, with a focus on strengthening healthcare access and improving the well-being of those most affected.
In 2011, Dr. Greene provided comprehensive medical care to low income patient populations as a Resident Physician in Kingston, Jamaica as part of the University of West Indies (Mona) Family Medicine.
2
Women's Health
In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, I presented "Sweet Talk: Understanding Diabetes" to a network of professional women, addressing the critical link between high-stress careers and metabolic health. This initiative empowered attendees to view preventative health and self-advocacy as essential components of their long-term professional success
Delivered the "Love My Heart Export" presentation to address the critical nuances of cardiovascular disease, specifically focusing on risk factors unique to women. The talk provided a roadmap for interpreting heart health metrics and implementing sustainable lifestyle changes to mitigate the risk of stroke and heart attack. Attendees left with a clear understanding of how to advocate for their vascular health in a medical setting.
3
Mentorship
Believing that true health extends beyond the clinic, Dr. Greene actively invests in the next generation of Maryland families. As a mentor and sponsor, Dr. Greene partners with Generation Hope to support teen parents pursuing college degrees and walks alongside young mothers through the mentorship programs of Young Lives.
